Question by bep: How much is a 1928-M standing liberty quarter worth? its is in ok condition?
the writing is readable and well it has an average amount of scratches considering its age and has a darker shade on the back. And also is this coin made of silver? im guesing it is because all quarters below 1964 were silver.
one more thing. When i say how much is it worth i mean like how much would people like collectors pay for this kind of coin it is very rare and hard to see

Yours is probably a Philadelphia quarter. The "M" is actually the initial of the designer, Hermon A. MacNeil; the mint mark, if there is one, would be slightly to the left of Liberty's right foot, just to the right of the bottom star. With silver at .60 an ounce, the metal value is about .00. A dealer would probably sell yours in "OK" condition for between and , but would most likely buy it from you for much less. The Phila Mint made more than 6 million of them that year, so it's not all that rare, but it IS older than my mother, so it's pretty old!
